Path Finding

In order to rise “to come into being” we must come to a crossroads where we resign our past; leaving behind the pain in order to move towards our designed future.

This morning sitting down with my passion planner to reflect on last month and look ahead to this month I was overwhelmed with hope and a desire to take a different path.

When you find your path, you must ignore fear. You need to have the courage to risk mistakes. But once you are on that road… run, run, run, and don’t stop til you’ve reached its end. -José N. Harris

Spending time healing from your past is helpful and hard however; sometimes we can end up lingering there for far too long.

The damage of last year is done.

No more sulking.

No more beating myself up for numbing.

As restlessness has begun to settle in I need to direct it into the bigger plan for this new season.

Taking time to write down your goals and a plan can be exciting and daunting. All too often life happens, we fall of plan and we lose our way on the path.

Wiggle room is a must!

As I set my schedule for a big race that is coming up I know there will be days when it might not happen but, that is where grace comes into play. Instead of setting yourself up for failure with the first missed step we have to go into a plan knowing we will fail yet, determined to wake and try again the VERY next day.

Looking back at last month my training failed for many reason. Last minute trip to visit my ailing grandmother followed by falling and injuring myself. In the past I would have been defeated and may have even given up on planning again… NOT anymore.

Life happens.

You will stumble and fall.

Give yourself grace.

And pick up where you left off!

Just because 2017 has not been everything you have hoped and dreamed does NOT mean you have to wait for another terrible year to pass in order to begin again.

Take time to dream, pray, create and play!

Today I challenge you to:

-Write out your biggest dreams.

Pray about what God is nudging you to do with your time and talents.

Create a list of things you would like to see, do, try or explore in the next month.

Play everyday! Play in the kitchen at dinner time, play with your family or find time to paint, write, dance or do something just by yourself.

We dream to give ourselves hope. To stop dreaming – well, that’s like saying you can never change your fate.   -Amy Fate

What we do today, tomorrow and this month matters more than we realize…let’s encourage one another to stop wasting time with guilt, obligation and self loathing!

Are you excited for the new month ahead?

Share your plans below.
